Tokiwa today announced that the Heat-pump 12k (TKI-HC12XC) has entered production as the first model in Tokiwa Climate.
The wall-mount split system is rated at 12,000 BTU/h with a quiet-mode noise level of 27 dB(A). It uses R32 refrigerant and is sized for rooms 12 to 19 square metres: the bedroom, the study, the small living room.
The design brief was a unit that disappears into the room. When it is on, the room should stay readable. When it is off, the silhouette should look like part of the wall.
